Skye and Kloud enrich our lives and bring us tremendous joy. We could not imagine living a single day without our “four-legged” best friends!
Skye River, the Keeshond, we named after “The River in the Sky” – the Milky Way. Since one of my hobbies is Astronomy it seems to fit!
My husband and I drove to Texas from Colorado to pick her up when she was 10 weeks old. She was one-of-nine, called Miss Yellow and she was well worth the long trip! Skye is now twelve years old and the little princess of the family. She is extremely bright, a happy girl and never leaves my side if she can help it.
Kloud, the Siberian Husky was given her name after we adopted her when she was two years old, because she had the same name as our Sibe girl that passed away. So we changed her name from Kira to Kloud. We kept the “K” to honor Kira and because she is mostly white named her Kloud. Kloud was born in Denver so we did not have to drive far to pick her up. Skye went along for the doggie interview and would not let us leave without her new sister. Kloud just turned twelve years old.
Kloud is also a happy girl and loves to be right in the middle of her “pack”. I call her “the watcher”, because she keeps an eye on everything that is going on. She loves to take long walks and she loves to sleep in tight places.
So we have a Skye and a Kloud and they are best buds. We are a tight and loving pack!!
Note: On February 20, 2017 we had to let our Sibe girl go, she fought a long and hard battle with cancer. There are not enough words to express the love and joy we shared with her. She will now go explore and play among the stars. October 7, 2004 – February 20, 2017.
Note: On October 17, 2019 we lost our Syke River to an agressive form of cancer. A part of my heart died on this day. She was my constant shadow for 14 years. I miss her so very much. She will now go explore and play among the stars with her beautiful, big sister. November 6, 2005 – October 17, 2019.
Skye – is the fifth little fur ball from the left.

Our sweet Sibe girl! I don’t know how old she is in this photo. She came to live with us when she was two years old.
