hearts beating as one

melding friendship and love

forming a life long bond

These photos taken in Fairview Riverside State Park. I don’t know what they are; however they are beautiful. We are in for a rainy day with 100% rain predicted.

Enjoy you day!

  1. In the past few weeks I’ve notice a yellow-flowering tree in several yards; now I am curious is this is the blossom I am seeing; it’s beautiful; almost orchid-like in gracefulness. If I find out what it is, I’ll certainly let you know! k

    1. Hey Karla! I searched on the web to see if I could find this flower, but didn’t have any luck. I will have to ask the ranger here in the park. If you find out what it is called let me know. I wish you and Larry a Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I don’t know what it is either….but it is very pretty! It especially looks pretty against the fence and trellis.
I hope you are enjoying your new blinds!

The rainy you are having today will be in Freeport tomorrow…cold, rainy and windy!

    1. Hi Gay! Yes, the white fence and trellis makes a very pleasing backdrop. We arrived in LA on Wednesday and it has been cloudy, windy, rainy, cool, cold, damp with maybe a day or two of sunshine. I am ready for some nice, sunshiny days. I hope once the “bad” weather reaches Florida it won’t last long! We both love the new blinds; it makes it nice to drop the cockpit blind if driving into sun; sitting inside and having the day shade block the sun and view into the coach and closing things up once nightfall comes. A very big plus is cleanup, the Roman style curtains with day pleated curtains we had, were not that easy to clean, but the day/night shades are easy to clean. Two furry doggies don’t make it any easier, but at least we can just vacuum these blinds.

      1. Hi Sheila…I am hoping new blinds will be in our budget. Sure would be nice to use the vacuum. Believe me, I know all about the pups and dust! I could, should, clean everyday, but that just doesn’t happen! You asked if my camera had AF. Is that AutoFocus? If so, that’s all I use. Joe bought me a Nikon D7000. I have not even scratched the surface on how to use it!

    2. Congratulations on your Nikon D7000! I have heard it is a very nice camera! I was just wondering if you were using AF when taking your macro photos.

    1. Hi Lynda, thank you so much. Glad you stopped by. I think it was your blog I was trying to comment on and experienced difficulty with entering the security letters. Your photos of the Everglades are beautiful! Drive safely heading to CA and Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. I asked a Ranger today what the name of the Yellow Flowers are and he went an asked a lady in The Otis House (historical house and grounds in Fairview Riverside State Park). … It is a Cassia Vine….
