LaPine State Park is located between LaPine and Bend, Oregon. It is a beautiful state park offering miles of hiking, biking and walking trails. And, of course all the river activities one would ever want. There are three RV loops for camping; we would recommend the south loop. We were in site six, which was a very nice pull-through overlooking a large, grassy area.

  1. Hi Sheila, my sister-in-law lived in Bend, Oregon for about 5 years. She was a ski instructor for one of the resorts. She lives in Northern Minnesota now but misses Bend…especially for it’s skiing. She is an avid skier…not many mountains in Minnesota. Beautiful pics🙋

    1. Hi Barb! I bet she sure does Bend! It is a beautiful place. We have visited Bend before, but never stayed south of there – example LaPine. It is lovely especially because of the Deschutes River, the forest and the mountains! Hope you are doing well and enjoying your summer!

    1. Hi Judy, yep keep this area in mind. I think you would enjoy it very much. I have been reading all of your posts, the ones I have been catching up on, and it looks like you have been having a great time with family!

  2. The Chipmunk is so cute. I’ve only ever seen them in cartoons. 😀 Love your caption for the gorgeous doggie pic. Such a beautiful place, Sheila. Tell Howard that i said “Hi.”
