“I have no words to adequately describe the raw beauty of Glacier National Park.
Nor, do I have the words to express, the feeling of pure joy, while I stand in this beauty.”
These photos were taken this afternoon, in Glacier National Park, driving to the Fish Creek area.
Not far from Fish Creek Campground. Photo taken today from the west side of McDonald Lake looking east.West side of McDonald Lake
These photos were taken yesterday on our way to Logan Pass, in Glacier National Park. The day was cloudy and last night we had a thunderstorm pass over.
Going-to-the-Sun road. It is a pretty scary road to travel! We drove as far as Logan Pass.An Alpine MeadowGoing-to-the-Sun Road below

Breathtaking, is the word that springs to mind, as I look at your photos, Sheila.
It was worth it, but as my hubby stated – white knuckle time! One the one side we had the drop off, one the other side in places protruding rocks. People going both directions wanted to hug the middle!!

Thanks Sylvia! Breathtaking is a good word!
So beautiful! Yes, that road is very scary to drive on! Especially when you get to a section where there is construction work. But it is so worth it.
I can’t image people traveling this road with any construction or at night or in bad weather! But, it is so gorgeous up there!!
So right…there are no words Sheila! Your pictures are spectacular. I’m wishing I could be there to also enjoy the smells and sounds!
I am so glad your “over the falls” story had a happy ending!
Gay, you and hubby would love this area. You need to put it on your list of places to visit. There are many, beautiful hikes that you would love!
Just stunning photographs. Looks like driving along that scary road was worth it.
