Sadly, I haven’t planted many flowers in my yard this year, but the few I have blooming bring me great joy everyday.

Well, I think the day lilies and marigolds are very pretty! I hope the reason you haven’t planted flowers is because you have been busy having to much fun with other things like Pickleball!
I planted several Day Lilies for my mother; she always loved these plants and I love them as well. Glad you got to see some coming to you from the west!! Hope you are having a great summer Beth.
It is funny, because last summer when I knew we would be traveling to the northwest, I was sad that I would not be able to plant flowers and poke around in my yard. Well, here we are all spring and summer at home, and I have not planted very much. Go figure! I am thankful for all my perennials that some back year after year?
Hi Michelle. So sorry about not returning a comment sooner. I guess, since being back home from our winter travels, I have been in a blogging slump. I believe I am ready to get back on and visit and chat with all my blogging friends. I just need to get out and take photos of the beautiful city I live in and share a little of the history and art of the city. I think my inspiration has returned. I hope all is well with you and family!! I need to find a nice post for Nature Notes.

Yep, I think Pickleball is getting first priority this summer!
Here in Georgia my day lilies are finished blooming. I really enjoyed seeing yours to hold me over until next spring.
