~Common Grackle
To most, they are a nuisance but I think they are pretty especially when the sun highlights their purple head.
Happy Birding!

American Kestrel on my neighbor’s roof this morning eating a rat.

Happy Birding!!
~A few feathered friends on this beautiful, Colorado day!
American Robin
House Wren
Female Bullock’s Oriole

These birds, along with others, have been gracing our yard for several months. A Robin pair call my yard home, perhaps because I feed them mealworms.
Happy Birding!
~Rose-breasted Grosbeak
It has been a long time since this Rosey bird graced our yard. First sighting this morning!

Happy Birding!
~There have been a few House Finches hanging around this past week.
A handsome male in his breeding plumage.
His partner, not as colorful, but still pretty!
A male House Finch in black and white. I was justing playing around with this one.
~A Red-breasted Nuthatch
These little guys don’t stay still very long.
~The Black-capped Chick-a-dee
Also, hard to capture for me anyway, because they don’t stay still for long.
~There have been three Osprey flying around the house. Their nest is about a half-mile away.

~My favorite pair of Robins are building a nest in our yard.
The male taking a rest.
Happy Birding! Stay safe.
