~My Yard Tour, Part One~

mums fashion their presence

blooms in autumn, to delight

thankful harvest comes

Mums, my delight
Mums, to delight

This morning, I took a tour of my yard to see what was still blooming. To my surprise some of my flowers are still doing well. We were slated for snow on Friday, which thankfully stayed north of us. Sorry Wyoming! Our overnight temperatures have been cold; last night’s, 32!

A reprieve, from icy destruction,

My lovely flowers, keep blooming,

To charm all, with their beauty.

  1. I can’t believe you have flowers like this growing in your garden. So beautiful. And your poem is so appropriate to describe their condition. Love both pictures and poem. 🙂

    1. Hi Gay, both spring and fall flowers are beautiful! We will have a few days this week in the low 70’s. We are getting things done, but can’t load the MH until right before we leave. We will bring it over, from storage, to a local RV park to load and check all systems. We can’t bring it to our house, because we live on a hill, don’t have a flat enough area to park it! Probably head out on the 27th. Hope you are having fun!

  2. Wow, that is wonderful that you still have flowers blooming. And such beautiful ones! I hope the snow holds off and you get to enjoy them for a bit longer. I am sending you warmth from California. 🙂

    1. That is so very sweet of you, sent me lots of warmth! I bet CA is beautiful this time of year, probably all year. 🙂 We have not traveled to CA much, maybe one day we will get back there! Thank you for your lovely comments! I hope you are enjoying and creating lots of your beautiful art!
