~For Me it has Chi~

You ever visit a place and right away feel at ease and peaceful; when you immediately know that you have picked the right place to spend a few days. When this happens, I like to say it has Chi!

This is what Howard and I both felt when we arrived at Silver River State Park, located in Ocala, Florida. What a beauty of a state park it is!

It was our first visit to Silver River and we absolutely love this park. No wonder it is difficult to book; now we know we will have to book a site eleven months in advance!

Almost all the sites are huge, pull-thru, level and private! Once parked you are surrounded by tall Live Oak, Pine trees and Palmettos!

  1. WOW! You hit the jackpot Sheila! Your home looks quite settled in and comfy! And so do Skye and Kloud! Can’t wait for photos of your walks!

    1. We really did not have much time to tour around Ocala, but I do believe it is horse country. On our way to I75 we took the backroads (which we like to do) and passed several horse farms. If you want to see horse country, try the back roads around McKinney, TX. We passed so many horse farms with barns bigger than most “big” houses.

    1. We were walking back to camp, from the river, and it was getting dark. These white-tailed deer were walking along the trail. I did not have enough light to get a good picture; but I liked the “motion” in this photo. Fun trying anyway. And, yes these guys are fast!
