A visit to Jonathan Dickinson State Park wouldn’t be the same without seeing and photographing the Florida Scrub Jay.
I adore Scrub Jays and this species, threatened and found only in Florida, is simply beautiful.
If you are interested in reading about this bird, just go to the web and do a search on Florida Scrub Jays.

Such a cute bird, looks a lot like the scrub Jay that visits us here in Southern California. I have one that does a little dipping dance on the back fence when he visits. Great pics, too! 🙂
I know I have seen these on some of our Florida trips and never knew they were only found in Florida. I will be on the lookout for them on our next visit to the sunshine state.
What a beauty! Life is good…..
Terrific photos! If I find myself in Florida, I’ll be sure to look for the Scrub Jays. Merry Christmas, Sheila!
