Curve-billed Thrasher
A pairGetting hot and tired after building a nest.
I enjoyed watching these Curve-billed Thrashers hunt for just the right nesting material.
Happy Birding!

Great bird photos. Someway I lost track of your blog and found it tonight when I saw a comment from you on my blog. Looks like I have some catching up to do.
Hi Sheila!
I keep hoping and looking for you and Howard at South Llano River State Park!! I can still see you, Howard and your dogs there. I will be there next year, good Lord willing, in April and May of 2018. I would be back as a Maintenance Park Host taking care of the bird blinds, feeding birds and other great things.
I have two dogs, Thunder, a Norfolk Terrier, and Pumpkin, a Norwich Terrier! They are my buddies and both very different which is fun!
At times, the small change in a bottle, which I learned from you and Howard helps with their terrier behavior!!
Your blog is terrific and your photos capture your subject!! I can just see you working hard to get that special shot!!
Hope to hear from you and maybe see you both in 2018!!
Janie
Wow, Janie, so extremely wonderful to hear from you. Every time Howard and I visit South Llano we look for you and your two best buddies. We try to stop there when we are traveling through beautiful Texas. In fact we stopped at South Llano in early March and again in late April. It was so much fun.
I was sitting in the bird blind and a silver fox sneeked through the fence, took a couple sips of water, and was gone back through the fence!! I saw so many birds, in April, March was a little early!
Sounds wonderful that you will be there hosting and taking care of the bird blinds, how fun. Hope you have a great time.
Our next trip through Texas will be sometime during the winter. I will let you know when we will be there.
Sad news – our pack is down one member. Our beautiful, sweet Sibe girl left us on 02/22/2017. She faught cancer for two years. We miss her so much. We stayed home with her during this past winter, feeling she wouldn’t be comfortable traveling.
Glad you wrote and I hope to keep in touch with you!! Write anytime!!

Hi Steve! Thank you so much. Glad you discovered my blog again, and that you enjoyed seeing my bird photos. I hope Stella is doing better!
