~The Big Thompson River dressed in its summer colors.
House Wrens were landing on this fallen Cottonwood tree.
I took these photos about a mile from our house in an area called Oxbow Natural Area. We are so lucky to live in such a gorgeous area. I was with two friends and only had my “short” lens so no bird photos.
Snowy Milkweed
We did see the following birds:
Blue Jays, Black-capped Chickadees, House Wrens, Northern Flickers, Great Blue Heron, Osprey (flying), Belted Kingfisher (fishing), Robins (with babies), Violet-green Swallow, Mallard (flying), Bullock’s Oriole, Hairy Woodpecker, Dusty Flycatcher.
Reblogged this on Wolf's Birding and Bonsai Blog.
Nice shots.
