~A few birds…

While traveling in Florida I have seen a few birds. I haven’t had much opportunity for birding, because the weather has been so rainy with high winds. The rain and wind has to end at some point!

~A Feather~

Adorning the woodland, a lone feather,

causing a pleasant shiver.

Caught in the filtering light,

no longer aiding in flight.

An image to whom it belonged,

whispers her melody of song.

The feathers purpose has not ended,

lining a nest for another, how splendid.

~An Old Barbed Wire Fence~

Theresa, I am so excited to share a “Good Fence” post. I took these photos Sunday at Jonathan Dickinson State Park near Hobe Sound, Florida.

It looks like a very old barbed wire fence. Sitting proudly on the fence post is a Loggerhead Shrike.
