There are so many birds…..it’s hard to figure out what a lot of them are. Glad you seem to have a handle on the matter 🙂
Hi Ingrid! I began seriously birding back in 1986 when we moved to Colorado, I met a lady who loved birding and she became my mentor. I miss her dearly. I began keeping a Bird Life List back then and it continues with a goal to keep seeing new birds.
Photographing birds is fun…..I don’t really know the names of birds so I’m not a real birder. I just know they are beautiful, entertaining, and wonderful to watch. Your photos are awesome as usual Sheila. We have been so. Use in the RV, I haven’t had a camera in my hand in a week or so….I’m sure missing it!
Dang iPad….that’s busy in the RV…sorry!
You need to pick up that camera and head out the door! :-). LOL
You must be really working hard Gay!
I know the feeling when using an iPhone or iPad – you type and the device corrects – usually incorrectly!
Great shots! Nice day on the beach you had. You are correct on the juvenile ring billed gull.
Thank You Dina! It is always fun just to be outside.
Anytime I can get out and watch the birds and take a few shots it is a good day!
I have been following Friends of Fort De Soto Park; what an amazing place and people have been posting some outstanding photos. We hope to go there!!!
Sorry, forgot to mention the juvenile rind-billed gull. Thanks for the confirmation!
It gets hard trying to ID these 1st, 2nd even 3rd years gulls, not to mention their winter plumage!! 😉
Happy Birding!
Lovely photos, Sheila. I’m a big fan of the Great Blue Heron. 🙂
Thank you Sylvia. The GBH is a favorite of mine also. A majestic and beautiful bird.
My Wordless Wednesday post this week, has a very unusual pic of the one who lives around our pond. 🙂
You seem to be quite the birder Sheila and your photography is always wonderful. 🙂
Hey LuAnn! Birding is one of my passions ,along with the challenge of photographing them.
You had some GREAT shots on your blog!
Thanks Sheila! I am just beginning to practice with a new camera. 🙂
