Alafia River State Park

A walk through the spirit of a day,
The path before us leads the way,
The breeze blows, tree canopies sway,
Sunbeams don’t reach the ground, the skies are gray,
Little eyes peer out of the bay,
On a log, in the water they play,
Heard the nine notes, the elusive owl looks for prey,
She will show herself we say,
It truly was delightful, yea.

Wonderful pictures, Sheila. Not sure if that is a crocodile or an alligator, but I am amazed it is not eating that turtle. Maybe it already had it’s lunch?
Thanks Janell, it is an alligator!
Bring one back to Colorado 🙂
Hi Steve! Just wanted to mention that you can put the blogs you like to follow on WP using the widgets. You might know about this already!
Love the warm sunlight thru the heart shaped leaf…and that little Gnatcatcher is so cute. I enjoyed your poem Sheila….
Hi Gay, thank you. That little leaf caught my eye. I love simply little things like this leaf! I hope you are safely in AZ once again!
