You ever visit a place and right away feel at ease and peaceful;Â when you immediately know that you have picked the right place to spend a few days. When this happens, I like to say it has Chi!
This is what Howard and I both felt when we arrived at Silver River State Park, located in Ocala, Florida. What a beauty of a state park it is!
It was our first visit to Silver River and we absolutely love this park. No wonder it is difficult to book; now we know we will have to book a site eleven months in advance!

Almost all the sites are huge, pull-thru, level and private! Once parked you are surrounded by tall Live Oak, Pine trees and Palmettos!

We spend four nights at this beautiful state park in Dunnellon, Florida. We have visited this park many times and enjoy it each and every time! If you love to kayak then this state park is a must stop for you.

Rainbow Springs State Park
We are currently at Silver River State Park in Ocala, Florida. This is our first visit to this state park and we have fallen in love with its huge, gorgeous sites, the thick forrest of oak and pine and the laid back environment we so enjoy!
I can’t say I enjoy leaving the park and driving around in the heavy Ocala traffic; however we will put this park on our list for future stops!Â
