where are you going
little blue so determined
does your shadow know

We love to stop, for a few days, at Eastbank Campground as we travel east on I-10. Eastbank is a US Army Corps of Engineer Park located in Bainbridge, GA; however, the nearest town is Chattahoochee, Florida.
The park, with its heavily treed and hilly grounds with Lake Seminole as a back drop, is a picturesque and peaceful place.
One could sit for hours down by the lake and watch the hundreds of shorebirds feeding, or watch the forest birds hunting for bugs and berries, or just relax and marvel at the beauty of the setting sun.
We never know what the weather will be at Lake Seminole and this time, as we passed through, it was still winter. This place is so beautiful, no matter the weather, we still get out to enjoy hiking, birdwatching, photo taking and watching beautiful sunsets announce the end of joyful experiences.

I captured these photos this evening after arriving at Eastbank Campground (A US Army Corps of Engineers Park) near Chattahoochee, Florida. Leaving cloudy, rainy Blackwater River State Park and traveling with dark, overhanging clouds, I had little expectations of taking any photos today. Sitting in the coach, with her nose pointed toward the Lake, I began to see the beginning of a spectacular sunset. I grabbed my camera and with delight took these photos. You just never know what you are going to see!
standing still gazing upon this scene
what thoughts does it evoke
visions of the future
memories from another time
or blissful reflections of this day
simply walking along the beach

Photo taken at Isle du Bois Unit – Ray Roberts State Park this past November.
Enjoy all life’s moments!
We are currently in rainy and cold southern Mississippi and while sitting here inside the coach, wishing for sun and warmer temperatures, I looked back to see what photos I had taken around this time last year. We were already in Hobe Sound, Florida. Here are a few:

The Pack and I have been enjoying ourselves visiting with family here in Mississippi; however the weather hasn’t been good. We haven’t been able to be outside much and it certainly isn’t good photo taking weather! Hopefully, before we leave on our way to southern Florida, we will have at least a few good weather days. I need to take a few cow, horse and yard dog photos! We have enjoyed wonderful conversations, great southern food and a few big city shopping excursions,
Wishing for sun!
